Touch and press. If you place you finger it's touch, when you press it's click.

Android : touch >> open the submenu, press >> allow to open in a new window only
iPad : touch >> open the page, press >> allow to open the page
but on iPad I can never open your submenu ...

so I don't think that your solution is really great
But I take not about hte idea to leave the option to open the page with a "press", this is interesting

I didn't understand your answer until I checked it in Safari. And you're right that doesn't work. It does work with Firefox. I'll have to look further for a solution because the client want a normal menu on pads. I'll start looking in Safari . To see if it is possible at all. Maybe you're right and Apple doesn't want this .
