Conflict with SSL Certificate
I am having an issue with the slideshow plugin loading when I load my site with the https prefix. It loads just fine when using http. Is there something that can fix this.

Hi
there is a problem to load the jQuery file when using https
midlandreformed.com/media/vendor/jquery/js/jquery.min.js
it returns an encoding error, but it works in http
you must fix that, but I don't know what could be wrong ... try to ask the joomla community about this problem
not only the slideshow is impacted, but all the javascript in the page, also in the template
let me know

According to some people on the joomla forum jquery is obsolete and does not work when loading a website with https. Is there some sort of fix in the works on your end?

sorry but this is totally false, I'm using jQuery with https website for many years now and it worksjquery is obsolete and does not work when loading a website with https
the problem is located on your website only and is not jQuery itself
check if you have activated the "gzip" compression in your admin, if yes try to disable it
you must also check with your host provider to check if there is any setting on the server that could be in cause

This has to do with Joomla 4. However, I have also installed your menu modules, which work just fine when loading the website with the https prefix.
Out of curiosity where would I find gzip? Would that be somewhere on my hosting site, or actually in Joomla itself?

for the gzip, this can be configured on your server, and you can also activate it in the website configuration
in some case when it is activated on both side it can create some problems, but this is only a possibility
