Joomla update error ?

I'v removed :
<updateservers>
<server type="extension" priority="1" name="Slideshow CK Update"> update.joomlack.fr/mod_slideshowck_update.xml

from : mod_slideshowck.xml


Still the same problem.

as said I can not reproduce your issue. Then zip the module you have with this modification, and install it again with this zip (to remove the update server entry)

After a bit more searching i found out that it has nothing to do with your module, its a error in the latest update from Joomla.

no more access on front end and back end of my joomla site, occurred suddenly, without updating anything. 2.5.16 Joomla site uses slideshowck and maximenuck.
error:
Warning: fopen (update.joomlack.fr / mod_slideshowck_update.xml) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Connection timed out in / xxx / libraries / joomla / http / transportation / stream.php on line 125

Deleting in the database which is on updating slideshow, I have the same error but with Maximenu. It also removed, everything works. Yet online access to xml file works.

Important: Both modules are outdated (I would be punished) versions 1.3.5 and 6.1.25 Maximenu slideshow.
Error due to this not updated?

I have already heard about such issues, generally due to a problem into the "stream.php" file of joomla
I think that I will soon remove the xml update conncetion from my extensions ...
