Adding a new slide broke the Web Site. was created by markus

I just added a new slide which resulted in the following error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg() in /var/www/html/modules/mod_slideshowck/helper.php on line 112
Removing the slide fixed the problem. I have 5 slides which are working fine.

Thumnail is disabled, Jquery enabled. What could be the proble. If I add another slide with one of the 5 images I am using then it works fine. Appreciate your help.

Hi
please tell me what options you are using : slide manager, or load from a folder ?
then are you sure that the thumbanil option is disabled ?

Hi CEd, thanks for reply.
I am using slide manager.
Under Style Options- selected Thumbnails to "No"
Another thing is, if I rename the new image file to an existing file in the folder then add a slide it works fine. kind of strange.

Thanks,

that's normal, is the file exists it will not recreate it. But the strange thing is that the "imagecreatefromjpeg" function is only called if the thumbs are enabled. do you have the latest version of the module ?
else you must enable the PHP GD library on your server

Thanks ced,
Updating the module fixed the problem. Updated form 1.1.1 to 1.3.8.

Thanks again for your help.
