"Open in new window" ignored in Slides Manager

Hi,
we are trying to make links in the slideshows open in new windows. The Slides Manager has an option "Target" that offers this option. However, even if the option is changed, it does not show any effect on the resulting pages. There is no target option in the A tag.
Extension version used: 1.4.63
slideshow ck params plugin version used: 1.2.11
Joomla: 3.9.6
PHP: 7.2.18

on tab "slides source" the field "Images source" is set to "Slides manager". I hope this confirms.

this is strange as this option has worked since long
please give me the url of your page so that I can check with the slideshow

The site is www.pmi-german-chapters.de/
Note that some sliders are intended to open in the same window (the ones going to the same site) while others should open in a new window.
You can try the new window with links "PMI Southern Germany Chapter, "PMI Frankfurt Chapter", "PMI Berlin/Brandenburg Chapter", "PMI Cologne Chapter".
