Hello ced1870,

This is the css styling I need in the accordeon menu:

.sideMenuPlanetConsc {
color: #040B80;
font: timesNewRoman;
text-decoration: none;
font: 12pt;
font-weight: bold;
}

.sideMenuPlanetConsc li > a > span {
color: #040b80;
font: timesNewRoman;
text-decoration: none;
font: 12pt;
list-style:none;
font-weight: normal;
}

The compile option has to do with the less code? I didn't know about less code because I'm new enough to Joomla to have
only used joomla3, which does this compile automatically. This is unrelated to my current problem with this extension, right?

Thanks.

you can use the rule
Code:
#planetConscNewsl li a.accordeonck { ... }
but for the link color you must add !important to override the rule in your template as alraedy discussed

Hello CED817

Thanks so much for your help so far. Using your suggestions, I have been able to style the accordeon menu to the correct color, font-size, and font. However, I am having trouble styling the top level menu item to bold and 2nd level bold only when selected. If possible, I would also like a plus in front of the first level item when it is not selected and a minus when it is selected. How would I do this?

Also, I was wondering if Joomla can handle two copies of the accordeon menu on the same site but using different menus? Any problems doing so?

Thanks much.

Hi
you shall use the browser console to help you to create your own style, or use the Params for the module to help you in the styling
what you are asking here is a custom job to style your menu ...

yes you can publish multiple modules on the same page, and show multiple menus :)

Hello again,

Thank you for telling me that the accordeon menu can be used more than once on a site. That's great news!

I must style the accordeon menu exclusively in css due to user requirements. Earlier you told me to use the code #planetConscNewsl li a.accordeonck { ... } , which works great for some of the styling needed. However, I also need the top level of the menu to be bold and the 2nd level to be non-bold unless the 2nd level item is selected, in which case it would be bold.

All of my efforts have failed -- can you help me with this last bit of code? Thanks much.
