Gradient Background

I must be missing something as I've tried several ways to make my BG Gradient like on this site I'm updating.

For some reason it's not working unless I put in 100% color but that defeats the purpose.

Yes this is the new Joomla 4 template without the gradient. How do you set the background page gradient? I've tried several setting on the template creator with no luck.

do you want to use a gradient on the whole page background ?

ok, you can not use a gradient here because it would repeat above the screen height
you will need to create an image of the gradient, put it as image background and add the final color of the gradient as background color to the page to fill what is not covered by your image
