on protostar you have exactly the same problem
www.resnovasnc.it/j3/index.php?option=co...2&template=protostar
if you check the css class active that is applied, you have exactly the same between the 2 templates (protostar has the class, just no css with it to show you visually the active state)
the problem does not come from template creator but from your website

Hi,
I stumbled on that "problem" too, but the reason that the menu created in TemplateCreator did NOT show the active menu link as such was because I had set a "Base Item" in the Menu Module (just under "Select a Menu"). If that's your case, just click on "Clear" so it shows "Select a Menu Item". It is confusing because one will automatically assume a "Base" Menu Item has to be set. NOT so.
When you install for instance a third party menu module, active links would be shown in your case (overrides), but it would be a pity not to use the nice menu options from TemplateCreator.
Regards, Jan

Hi
this is not a problem from template creator
It uses the native joomla menu module and this base item is confusing, I agree
the fact is that hte active css class is rendered by the module and the template only loads the styles for this css class
