Replaced menu text in menubar

Hi Ced,
I edit a menu item,
in tab "Mobile Menu CK" I can change or replace the text for the mobile menu.
I would like that text in the mobile menu bar!
At the moment in my menu bar the long, original text of the menu item is shown.

Have a look at the browser title and sub menus and compare with mobile menu bar.

for now the option "showmobilemenutext" is still on default, this means that you have not set the menu text on "Custom"

I explained bad or something

I'm on editing a joomla Menu-item an wanna have a shorter Tiltle in the menu bar of the mobile view.
On attached image 1 you see a long Title of that menu item.
"Gelassenheit und Klarblick im Alltag durch Achtsamkeit ~ 5-tägiges Schweigeseminar mit Dr. Julia Harfensteller ~ Mai '24"

this is to long for the mobile menu bar,
so I given in a shorter "Text replacement" on the "Mobile Menu CK"-Tab, see image 2

Inline-Help says: "Set the text that will be used for the Mobile menu. Left it empty to use the default menu item title "
...but the Menu bar on phone allways shows the long Title, like seen on image 1

The "Text replacement" changes the Mobile menu sub-menu, but not in Menu bar at top.

I wanna the title like: "5-tägiges Schweigeseminar - Mai 24"

thanks for the details, I see now
the text replacement works in the mobile menu item, but it is not used for the active text in the bar
I need to check that by my side

I assume that this function was intended for this purpose, wasn't it?
With the 4 other lines of code it works great!

Believe it or not, I had exactly this folder still open in my ftp program, I had the file open and already had the line in mind.
(But it always takes too long to overview and understand it, I have to think of my lifetime , but I was very excited to see the changes! )

That you were so quick saved my evening, I had already forgotten myself in the code again...
