Cookies CK does not stop Google Tag Manager cookies

Hello!

I am testing your Cookies CK plugin on a website. It seems to block all other cookies (there are not many), but _ga and _gid are loaded always - even before the visitor has given or declined consent.

If the visitor declines all cookies, _ga and _gid are still stored. Both of these cookies were found by the plugin scanner and they have been added to the Analytics category automatically. Yet still, it does not work.

I have also blocked all iframes in the settings. That doesn't help.

These _ga and _gid cookies are loaded by Google Tag Manager. If I remove the Tag Manager script from the page, these cookies are not saved. Why does Cookies CK ignore the cookies saved by Tag Manager?

I know this is a free plugin and I don't expect much, but any feedback would be helpful. Thank you very much, merci!

When I mentioned a free plugin I didn't mean that I don't expect the plugin to work. I meant that I don't expect any support for possible issues.

The domain is . I have turned the plugin on now, but I cannot keep it on too long because the analytics cookies keep appearing. It is a website of a lawyer company, and they don't want anyone to notice that cookies are saved even if there is no consent.

just tested by my side on Chrome and Firefox, it works, no cookie at all is stored before you accept
may be that there is still a cookie that was previously stored. HAve you cleared all your cookies before testing ?

During the video, I noticed that even though the _ga and _gid cookies appear, their content is empty.

So maybe I have misunderstood the whole thing and thought that those cookies should not exist at all, while actually they just need to be empty for it to work.

Probably that is the case. If the empty content is enough - I suppose it is - then the plugin probably works as it should.

No need to watch it in case there is no issue with empty _ga and _gid cookies. If they are supposed to be there as empty, it is ok. If they should not be there, then you might want to check out the video.
