Submenu items not opening on mobile menu

I have just recently installed Maximenu CK and I'm starting to configure. However, I've noticed that on mobile devices, the submenu items cannot be tapped. they work fine in the desktop menu, but when the menu switches to mobile, no combination of options will get the submenu items to open accordion style so the user can tap them to navigate to that page. Have you seen this problem before?

by my side I see the mobile menu correctly with the "+" sign to be clicked to open the submenu

That's amazing! I don't see anything like that!

I've tried it on my iPhone (Safari), and on desktop Chrome, Safari and Firefox. For the submenu item under "why wws" I see nothing on mobile... no icons, and nothing opens when I click or tap on "why wws". I've also tried it through a proxy and get the same results.

if you click the "+", it will open, but the icon will disappear because it is missing in your theme folder. Check the settings that you have set in the plugin options

Note that the whole item will not be clickable, only the icon
