no horizontal menu

I am trying to configure a menu, but I can't make it work horizontally
All layout I try end up vertically, EXCEPT dropselect which is neither

I've got 2 menus set up, one up and one in the debug area at the bottom. one is default, other is default2 layout

am I missing something?
I tried beez3 template, it's the same

in the module options you have set "1" an "2" as ID, this must be a text, not a number because it is a HTML ID
you can leave this field empty and the system will manage it alone, then test if it works

you could update the popup description of ModuleID to specify that it should be alphanumeric

I have the same problem. I'm not able to set the menu Horizontal.
The ID is empty.
Do someone have an idea how to solve?
What additional informatio I can give you?
