Mobile menu using images and no text

Hi I am using images and no text for a couple of submenus, on my iphone it looks great until I select a menu item and the page loads with a fullsize menu image in the title bar which overlaps my content. What can I do to stop this happening?

Thankyou, I have shown what happens in the diagram below, when I click on a text menu item such as 'about' the word 'about' is a page header. When I click on a picture the fullsize picture is in the same place but it needs to be scaled down or have a text replacement as it is too big.
