Hello, love your menu!

Quick question, I want to set different widths for each of my Sub Menu/Drop Down menus.

I know it can be done using the ID of the menu, but I have been trying without any luck, and I'm assuming I'm just not doing it right.

Could you give me an example of the CSS needed to accomplish this?

Not sure if it matters, but here is a link to my site: goldcodirect.com

So for example, how would I increase the width of the Sub Menu/Drop Down for only the Sub Menu/Drop Down under the "Precious Metals" menu link?

Thanks in advance!

Hi
you do it easily with the plugin maximenu params, or in css you prefer you can add the width as described in the doc on div.floatck

Hi, so I bought the Params Plugin, but I noticed that the settings in the screenshots on the info page, are different than the plugins that I have on my site now.

For instance, there is no dedicated option to set the Sub Menu width.

Here is what I see inside my site:

Here is what is shown on the Params Plugin page:

The plugin is different than advertised.

Am I doing something wrong, or have you changed it without updating the Params page?

If you have changed it, it appears I no longer have the choice to set the width of the sub menus, and that was really the only reason I bought the plugin.

Please advise me on what I should do.

Thanks!

the difference are between the version 1.5 and 2.5, as you did not precise that you were still in joomla 1.5 I was assuming that you were up to date with a 2.5
anyway, look at the doc, you must
- create a column on the first submenu item (example on Coin catalog)
- give a specific width to this column
then the submenu should adapt

Oh sorry about that. I forget that we are stuck on 1.5 due to some custom components we use.

That worked perfectly! Thanks so much for your help!

Ok, one more thing.

For some reason, and it only appears to do this on the homepage, the sub menu aligns it's right edge to the edge of it's parent menu item. Which is the correct behavior, below is a screen shot.

However, on all other pages of the site, the menu goes beyond the edge of the parent menu item, and widens the screen width, which creates a scroll bar in the browser. Which is the incorrect behavior. Below is a screen shot.

Do you have any idea why this would happen?

All the pages share the same CSS code, so it can't be that.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I have the sub menu set as "Special" so administrators can see it right now, but if it helps at all, here is the URL to my site again:
