Open AND Close with click

I'm trying to track down how to fix this.

I have MaxiMenu setup to open on click. I would like to have maximenu menu close with a click, like most other menus. The way it is right now, with only closing if you click the main menu item again isn't very user friendly.

What my client wants is they have home and menu. Menu is a dropdown tab menu. They want it where if menu is clicked, it opens the dropdown, which is the intended use, and this is what it does.

For closing them menu, they want the menu to close if you click anywhere outside the menu. Currently, it will only close if menu is clicked again.
