Height doesn't resize automatically

I have installed slideshow CK on Joomla 3.0. Most everything is perfect except two problems. The slides will resize with the width of the page but the height remains fixed at around 100 pixels for all devices causing the remainder of the picture to be cut off. The second problem is the article text background is opaque and the settings don't allow for this to be changed.

I am familiar with PHP and Javascript. If it's a bug, I don't want to spend the time debugging the code. I was going to buy the documentation. I just don't want to pay for anything unless I know my purchase will fix the problem.

for the height issue you should use a ratio percent (explained in the doc )
for the caption opacity, right there is no option for now, the only way is to use rgba background color
