Intermediate Menu Items do not show linked content

Hi everyone,
we are using the accordeon menu on our side and we really like it, but now we are facing a problem. We have a main menu set up in Joomla that is rendered by the Accordeon Menu Module. Now the menu has the following structure:

Some first Layer entry
-Some second Layer entry
--Some third Layer entry
--Another third Layer entry
-Another second Layer entry
Another first Layer entry

Now the two third Layer entries are perfectly well linked to some content on our side. However, what we are trying for is the possibility of using the "Some second Layer entry" button to do two things:
  1. Open the Accordeon Menu and show the layer entries below.
  2. Show some article that is linked with the menu item in the Joomla menu.
As I said, the first works well, but with the other, we are having trouble. The article is linked in the Joomla menu but is simply not shown when clicking on the menu.
Can anyone help?
Thank you for any help in advance, even if it points to some component that will do the job,
Skrodde

Hi
this has already been discussed multiple times here
use the option "event target element" on "image only" and set the + / - images correctly

Hi ced1870,
sorry for repeating an FAQ. It works fine for me now.
However, now there appeared another problem. It seems now that EVERY menu item has to have some content linked to it, otherwise the submenu does not open. How would I create a menu item that only opens the submenu, without showing any content?
If this has also been discussed so far, please provide me the topic, some words to search for or any other hint.
Thanks heaps so far,
Skrodde

Yes, I tried the "seperator", but then the submenu does not open anymore, so for now I am running with "category blog", which seems to work but looks quite ugly.
Thanks for the try, though. Any other suggestions?
