Hi,

Update from v3.00 to v3.0.1

I see the update in the Extensions Update screen but when I select install, the update will not install. Also the link (on the right of the update screen) is broken.

When I manually install the v3.0.1 update after download from the JOOMLACK website, the installation appears to be OK.

But when I check the Manage Extensions screen I see

Accordeon Menu CK - Component - v3.0.1
Accordeon menu CK - Module - v3.0.0

I am using the LITE VERSION of the extension.

Is the above list correct following the update?

Many thanks.

Hi
for the Pro versions you must use the licence code
www.joomlack.fr/en/documentation/miscellaneous/202-license-code

for the Light versions, you shall be able to automatically update without licence
please tell me what is the error message that you get

one reason could be that your server request is blocked by a firewall, then the file can not be downloaded

If you have installed the 3.0.1 manually, then all is ok

So after manually installing v3.0.1 this is what a user of the LITE version of the extension should see in the Extension Manager?

Accordeon Menu CK - Component - v3.0.1
Accordeon menu CK - Module - v3.0.0

If yes then that's great.

Thanks for the quick reply!

yes, the module is part of the extension but there were no changes in it in the 3.0.1
so this is normal to have the 3.0.0 here

Hi there,

Further to last post the Extensions > Manage screen showed:

Component = v3.0.1
Module = v3.0.0

after I manually updated the extension using v3.0.1 release.

Now after installing the v3.0.2 release the Extensions > Manage screen shows:

Component = v3.0.1
Module = v3.0.2

Can you confirm this is correct?

My failure to perform an update using the Joomla! Extension Update plugin rather than a manual upload via Extensions > Update screen could be because the URL on right of Updates screen, namely

www.joomlack.fr/extensions-joomla/accordeon-menu-ck

throws a 404 Error.

After manually updating the extension the Extensions > Updates screen (following refresh) still showed update available.

Could this be because the link in the Extensions > Update Sites screen is for the PRO version, namely

update.joomlack.fr/accordeonmenuck_pro_update.xml

and not the LIGHT version which I am using?

If yes then is it possible for the link in the Extensions > Update screen to be amended in a future release?

I have tried REBUILD in the Extensions > Update Sites screen but this does not change the link despite PRO version not being installed.

Finally, may I request that the Release Notes at the bottom of the Accordeon Menu CK screen be updated to state which element of the extension is being updated?

i.e. Component, Module or Both.

The SUCCESS screen following update does in this instance state the MOCULE has been updated.

The repeated showing up update available in the Updates screen does make you think the update was incomplete however!

Addressing my last two points would remove any doubt in users minds as to whether their update had been successful or not.

Sorry for such a long post.

Hope I have made my points clearly enough to minimise your vaulable time in addressing them.

Best wishes :)
