Collapsing columns
Based on joomla doc:
docs.joomla.org/Collapsing_columns
I've added the custom code to the template in Template Creator:
but its not applying.
using version 3.3.7 (3rd time i upgrade and it just gets better )
I was just wondering if its very obvious what I'm doing wrong . . .
Its the 'right' module in the MainContent element that i'm trying to only use on one part of the site (by assigning it a module) and not have the space reserved when on the rest of the site and modules isn't displayed.
I've added the custom code to the template in Template Creator:
Code:
<?php if ($this->countModules( 'mainright' )) : ?>
<div class="mainright">
<jdoc:include type="modules" name="mainright" style="xhtml" ></jdoc:include>
</div>
<?php endif; ?>
using version 3.3.7 (3rd time i upgrade and it just gets better )

Hi
by default this is already included into template creator, if you don't publish any module in the position you have defined it will not be displayed.
you don't have to add such custom code.

That's what I thought but it isn't collapsing.
I do publish a module there but only on the blog menu...
Not fishing for support I didn't pay for (not a big joomla user as its for my gf's site) but its on here... WWW.socouture.fr
I have had to set 'center' width to 100% or she tells me off as its not centré...

Hmmmmmmm,
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm,
I just checked the module via ?tp=1... It was visible and taking the 20% defined but was empty...
I was logged in on frontend as admin so got the option to modify the module at this place...
It was a blog-type link (blogroll) that is empty of content in joomla, but was published.....
Fail!
Unpublished it and we're good
