Why this is happen?

I replicate the error here and I found what is causing this.

When I add a new "banner and logo" module and remove one of these module positions itens like "logodescription" below the logo, the preview and save package stop working.

That's what happen.

P.S: I am using Joomla 2.5.

Ok, thanks for this infos.
So you just have to not delete it
in fact if there is nothing loaded (no module in the position) it will not be shown on the site. You can leave them in place even if you don't need it.

I've noted this, and will check it in the next update
