Maximenu & Virtuemart 3 plugin not working

Hi, I just purchased an installed the VM plugin, but everytime I activate it to display the VM categories, the whole menu dissappears. With the VM plugin turned off, it works ok. Already moved module to another position, same issue. Already tried default template with default module position, same error.

what could be wrong?

are you sure that you have the categories published into VM ? also that you have correctly set the options in the module (root category, levels, etc)
