Set column heading

I have several (hikashop-category) headings and have set the option 'Type of item on Heading'. I used seperator (no link) and heading conform the documentation.
I experimented with Li tag css class.
Never the less the headers stay clickable.
What I'm doing wrong?
I have the latest modules pkg_patch_hikashop-maximenu_2.0.3, mod_maximenuck_8.2.3_j3 and pkg_maximenuckparams_4.1.1 on Joomla 3.6.5
I want to say that I'm very satisfied about the modules. With some experimenting and combining things I reached surprising results. Only the heading won't work.
