Problem on Nexus 7

I am trying to see how to use MaxiMenuCK within a modified Protostar template (Joomla 3.6.5). It seems to behave as expected on my desktop (testing with Chrome and Firefox) and on my phone (Nexus 6P).

On my Nexus 7, however, both Chrome and Firefox show different behaviors. After touching a menu item with a submenu, the submenu drops down, but touching another part of the screen outside the submenu should, i think, cause the submenu to disappear, but it does not. The submenu stays visible until 1) another main menu item is touched or 2) the page is refreshed.

If I try this in Chrome's debugger on my desktop simulating a Nexus 7, it works as expected, i.e., the menu disappears when I click in another location. Is there a problem with the menu code or possibly with 6.0.1 on the tablet?

It seems to work on every device I've tested except my Nexus 7, even in the Chrome debugger.

Is there a compatible menu system where "click outside" is implemented, whether free or for-pay?
