How to make menu path expanded for active tread?

Hi there! This menu of yours is really great and yet simple. Thank you for that.
I have set a 5 level menu ok. I set it to transfer me to a linked page every time i click on a menu item. The problem is that I can't make the parent sub-menus of an active menu-tree visible - once i click on a submenu link only 1st level remain visible which is not very informative for my visitors as they can't tell where they are.

To illustrate this - when i click 1 i want this to display: (which is just as it is)
1.
1.1.
1.2.
1.3.
2.
3.

Then i click 1.1 and should get this: (which i don't)
1.
1.1.
1.1.1.
1.1.2.
1.2.
1.3.
2.
3.

Is it something that is already there but I cant find? Or does it need skills to hack?
